Changing IP Addresses on foneBRIDGE2
Solution

Changing IP Address with fonulator

NOTE: This procedure should be done on only ONE foneBRIDGE2 at a time. Please make sure
only one device is connected and powered on if you are working with multiple fonebridges.

1. Ensure your foneBRIDGE2 is connected to the Ethernet port and is NOT configured via fonulator.

If you are unsure, cycle power to the device and then proceed with step 2.

2. Execute fonulator as follows;

# fonulator  --set-ip=x.x.x.x

The following example will change the IP address on the first Ethernet port of the fonebridge (fb1) to 192.168.1.100

# fonulator --set-ip=192.168.1.100

To change the IP address on the second Ethernet port (fb2), simply add '--fb2' to the fonulator options. Example;

# fonulator --set-ip=192.168.1.100 --fb2

3. IMPORTANT! Cycle power to the foneBRIDGE2

4. Confirm IP addresses have changed by querying the device with fonulator. Ensure you have updated your redfone.conf with the new IP address;

# fonulator -vq
